Hospital porters you're days are numbered.

A fleet of robots is to carry out day to day tasks at an NHS hospital, it was revealed today.

The robots will be used to transport clinical waste and dirty linen, deliver food and dispense drugs at the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Stirlingshire.
They are currently being tested at the £300 million hospital ahead of its opening in August.

It is the first time a UK hospital will use the state of the art technology, which is already in place in hospitals in Japan, the US and France.

A guide robot moves through a hallway of the Aizu Central Hospital in Japan, where robots are often used in hospitals for various tasks

The fleet will be divided into 'clean' and 'dirty' tasks, with each being given their own corridor to avoid the risk of cross- contamination.
NHS Forth Valley spokesman Elspeth Campbell said the new system would help with infection control.

  2. Say for example a man had just got a serious heart attack in hospitsl and one of these 'Hospital Porters' were the only ones there, would It be able to buzz for health??? Doe the blooming machine have so much empathy towards the humans, no is the right answer Droike and I shudder to see one serving food and drink. Another plus for these contraptions is that they would never strike but I wouold hate to see them during a power cut.
Anyway I thought you disappeared but I Tiswas is doing fine in the DIF and who cares if you know my real name loads know it too and hey I have 3 email accounts which you know nothing of Mister. Why the hell are your blogs so blooming short! More words are needed and I will say something you ain't really missed by Haggie at all.

  3. If a hospital had a power cut i think the robotic porters not delivering food or taking away dirty bedding would be very low on the list of priority's. Think about it, hospitals have machines that require electricity keeping people alive. I don't think a chap who's half way through his triple heart bypass would be too worried about getting his dinner late when the power went off.

Hospitals whether public or private sector are required to provide security of supply, flexibility and operation as laid down in the Department of Health - Health Technical Memorandum 2007 - Electrical Services Supply and Distribution (1993).

Hospitals porters pride and dignity, everyone should feel proud and dignified in the job they do but Handbag takes it way to far, especially seeing as they were trying to sack him not long ago.

Handbag once said he was considering stealing blood from the blood bank to attack the Queen of England with so she would shape shift into a space lizard in front of the press while on a visit to his place of employment. Do you really think someone that mentally unstable should even be working in a hospital? What if someone needed the blood he was considering stealing? Could you honestly see a robot doing something as stupid and dangerous as that? He says if he gets another opportunity he may even do it. He thinks if she did shape shift he would be a hero and if she didn't he would get off with it by saying he did it in the public interest. In reality he and others could be hurt even shot and if not Handbag would be going to the nut house for a very long time.

I prefer to use my own energies instead of the energy of others but I know for a fact this essay is basically aimed at HagBard Celine really.
I will be discussing Gorilla, Icke, Tsarion and others in my conspricarcy blog but hey those wheeled androids could they be listening to say Russian if they are programmed in English!
